The Zimbabwe under 17 rugby side dubbed the Innscor Young Sables, have a date with Namibia on July 4 at the Isak Steyl Stadium in Vanderbijlpark, South Africa. The encounter kicks off at 9:15 am.
Going into the match, Namibia has won two out of two games so far at the ongoing Grant Khomo week but that will not deter the Zimbabweans who have one win under their belt. Zimbabwe went down fighting against a well grilled Limpopo Blue Bulls side losing
29-21 on the second day of the tournament. Based on this, the Zimbos will run on as the underdogs but there is a high chance of them walking out as the victors.
Back at home, the under 18 side resumed camp today at St George’s College in preparation for the U18 Craven Week which kicks off in Polokwane on Monday 8 July. Head coach, Godwin “Jaws” Murambiwa is confident that his side will do well despite having only six days to train with the team. Peterhouse Boys’ skipper, Daniel Moolman will captain the squad and hopefully help them run through the tourney undefeated.
