Lusitania beat-off competition from five other schools to emerge victors at the 7th Annual Westridge “3 Chillies Chase” cross country invitational that took place on Friday afternoon (31-January). This becomes the second year on the trot that Lusitania claim the top spot. Participating schools included Bishopslea, Convent, Lusitania, Mubeena Ebrahim, Twin Rivers and the hosts Westridge.
Each school fielded teams of five runners per age group and only the first four runners counted for points. Lusitania had the lowest aggregate score and therefore won the event. U9, U10 and U11 ran 2,1km while the U12 and U13 ran 4,2km. The over age athletes were not permitted to participate in this event.
