The annual Watershed College Co-Ed Sprints Challenge is set for this coming Saturday, the eighth of March. First gun is penned to go off at 8:30 am at the Marondera school.
Seven schools – not counting the hosts – will converge at Watershed College on Saturday. Kyle College will make the long trip up, all the way from Masvingo while Midlands Christian College will make theirs from Gweru. From Mutare, Hillcrest will make the now routine trip towards Harare. For road safety as well as time reasons, we assume that the three schools mentioned above will travel to Marondera on Friday and sleep over at Watershed College.
From the capital, Eaglesvale, Gateway and Westridge will also be hoping for a successful day out, at the College. “Hosts”, Marondera High School complete the roster and are poised to give the other schools a good run for their money.
The Watershed Sprints Challenge features six events across four age groups for both boys and girls. These are: the 100m dash, 200m, 400m and 800m runs. Relays will round up the day in the 4x400m and 4x100m formats.
