Falcon and St John’s Suffer Losses On Day 1

Update:  The St John’s – Paul Roos encounter had to be stopped after only 55 minutes of play due to the high scoring.

St John’s College 1st XV was at the mercy of Paul Roos 1st XV in their opening match at the St John’s College Easter Rugby Festival in Johannesburg, South Africa earlier today. The Zimbos conceded 80 points while only going over the white wash once through Roderick Zwart and Tafadzwa Chiweshe did not squander this unique chance and made sure his conversion was true  bringing his team up to 7 points.

80-7, the scores stood at the end of the encounter. Paul Roos scored a massive 13 tries and Reinhard Fortuin kicked 10 of those over the crossbar.

In Benoni, South Africa at the St Dunstan’s College Easter Rugby Festival, Falcon College also suffered a loss albeit not a scary one. The lads from Esigodini lost 24-20 to Hans Moore in their opening encounter at the festival.
