Zim To Take Part In Squash World Junior Champs


Six high school squash players are set to travel to Namibia next week to represent Zimbabwe at the WSF Men’s World Junior Squash Champs which run August 10-21.

The U19 side, comprising of a team of four players for the team tourney, as well as two additional individual contenders, will be joined by Coaches Ross Wallbridge, Ahmed Hassan, and Mashumba Mukumba. The Zimbabwean squash side travels to Windhoek August 8, in time for the Opening Ceremony on the 9th and individual matches involving 150 players from 30 countries from the 10th-15th.

The team tournament, where 28 national sides compete, will take place from the 16th-21st. At age 15, Luke Mannion of Hellenic Academy, is the youngest contender in the tournament.
