Gutsy Falcon Falls To Hilton In Semis

Falcon College put up a spirited chase against Hilton College in the first Ram Slam semi-final at St John’s College this morning.Chasing a total of 175 against a side as good as Hilton was always going to be a tough ask but the boys from Esgodhini were up for it. Joshua Worsley got off the blocks well and rotated strike well with Matt McNab in a bid to establish a good partnership. McNab was dismissed by Hilton’s Lungi Ngidi to make way for Shaun Snyder who came in to bat at number three.Snyder gave Falcon a great chance at going through to the finals, hitting a quick half-ton off 24 balls. Working under pressure, the Hilton bowlers had to dig deep and it was spin bowler Stephen Reeves who got the breakthrough claiming the scalp of Snyder with the scoreboard stuck on the Nelson – 111. Falcon did however play out all their 20 overs but lost to Hilton by 12 runs.
