Five youth teams will represent Zimbabwe at the South African Schools Water Polo championships that take place from December 12-15 in Johannesburg, South Africa. This will be the biggest contingent ever sent down by the Zimbabwe Aquatics Union.
The SA Schools Water Polo Championships is a major tournament with Zimbabwe as the only external country invited to send national sides to compete against South African selected Provincial all-star teams. Over 1600 boys and girls aged 13-19 will compete in this co-ed tournament. There are eleven teams at each age level competing in the girls’ side and fifteen competing in the boys’ side of the tournament.
There are six players from last year’s Zimbabwe U19 Girls team that finished third at the SA Water Polo Champs in East London last December
