Whether it’s to make amends or to put on more great displays of schoolboy rugby, Zimbabwe youth teams will be looking forward to return to South Africa for the 2015 Craven Week rugby tournaments. The South African Rugby Union has released the dates and venues for the 2015 events.
The U14 tournament will run at Hoerskool Rob Ferreria in White River, Mpumalanga from the June 29 to July 3. Grant Khomo Week for the U16s will take place in Bridgton Sports Grounds in Oudtshoorn. Paul Roos Gymnasium who will be celebrating their 150 year anniversary will host U18 Craven Week from July 13 – July 18 in Stellenbosch.
This year’s Craven Week produced a bag of mixed results for Zimbabwe Schools Rugby youth teams that travelled to South Africa for the prestigious tournament in July. The U14s produced their best results in years while the U16s put on an average show. The much hyped U18s failed to deliver despite putting on some stellar performances.
If you are a rugby player who is a national colors hopeful, there is no better time to increase your fitness and skill levels and start preparing for the 2015 Zimbabwe trials.
