Zimbabwe U19 Girls Waterpolo Continue Riot In Joburg

The Zimbabwe U19 Girls waterpolo squad continued to run riot at St Stithians College in Johannesburg over the weekend, landing a spot in the tournament semifinal today.

Having started the tournament strongly on Friday evening, the girls continued to record massive wins in their group games. Against Eastern Province B, the girls posted a huge 18-1 victory and they handed Gauteng B a 16-5 hiding.

SSN predicted a tough match for the Zimbabwe side against Western Province and it lived up to that expectation, with the girls settling for their first loss (8-11) at the 2014 South Africa Schools Waterpolo Championships. Fortunately, Team Zimbabwe’s early wins still qualified them for the quarter finals where they faced Eastern Province.
