Chisipite Senior School won the Warwick Smith Cup in a girls’ water polo tournament they hosted on Saturday, February 7. Played between the only four girls’ water polo high school Zimbabwean teams, the cup came in the wake of CANA Water Polo Zone IV Championships last weekend at the same pool.
After a crushing defeat of Girls College 14-3 in the final match of the evening, Chisipite celebrated winning the cup for the second year in a row.
Hellenic Academy, which this term completed their own regulation swimming and water polo school pool and no longer have to travel elsewhere for team practices, came an impressive second. Visiting side Girls College from Bulawayo finished third with Peterhouse Girls coming fourth.
Chisipite Senior School captain who also captained the Zimbabwe national team in the CANA championship, Nicole Wallace was named the Most Valuable Player for the Warwick Smith Cup.
