The 2015 edition of the Dairibord Schools Rugby Festival will enter Day Four tomorrow Thursday. Traditional rivalries and evenly matched strong sides make for enticing fixtures and an exciting day of schools rugby not to be missed.
Allan Wilson and Plumtree will get the day started on Jubilee Field with their 8 o’clock kick off, after which Hellenic Academy is scheduled to face Christian Brothers College. However, neither of these two sides showed up for their scheduled matches on Tuesday, so at this point we do not yet know who will take to the field at 9.10am.
Off the back of a huge victory on Tuesday over Allan Wilson, Kyle College will take on wounded Eaglesvale head-on and hope to post another huge score when they clash at 11:30am. In-form Falcon College faces Marondera side Watershed College, in what is predicted to be a one-sided encounter. Midlands Christian College and Peterhouse Boys are set to play at 13.50.
Large crowds are expected after lunch for back-to-back matches featuring fierce traditional rivalries. At 15:00 we will witness the battle for Harare between the Churchill Bulldogs and the Prince Edward Tigers. The final match of the day at 1600 will be the Battle of the Saints, with St John’s College Rams taking on the St George’s College Dragons.
