Saturday afternoon (6 June 2015), Falcon College came from behind to pull off a 41-25 victory over hosts St John’s College, extending their unbeaten run in the local schools rugby circuit.
Going into the encounter, the odds were tipped against St John’s College. Early in the match, Falcon were handed a not so pleasant surprise as Matt Hart bisected the uprights with a penalty to give the Rams a 3-0 lead. Not long after, Hart latched onto a Chambati chip that bounced in his favour, going over the white-wash.
Falcon flourish with the wide ball; they love to spread it and outrun the opposition. However, the chilly weather that swept across Harare this afternoon didn’t do the Esigodini boys any favours. After a fair share of knock-ons, Falcon spread it to Sam Phiri who opened the Falcon’s account.
