Zimbabwe’s Justin Kersten has finished the first day of the RB Global 2015 Junior Golf Tournament tied in 9th place out of a field of 90 golfers.
Kersten, a L6 student at Falcon College, scored a respectable +3 on the 18 hole, 72 par course, four strokes behind the leader, Nathan Longley from England. Kersten was the top non-European performer in the three-day tournament, which is taking place August 4-6 at the Heidleberg-Logenfeld Golf Course in Germany.
Team Zimbabwe was rounded off by Irvine Nembaware also of Falcon and Tarisiro Fundira of St John’s College, who finished 79th and 84th respectively on the first day. Nembaware shot 18 over par for a score of 90, while Fundira finished 27 over par for a score of 99.
