Peterhouse Wins CHISZ Soccer Tourney

Peterhouse beat St George’s College 1-0 in an exciting final match held at Midlands Christian College in Gweru this morning (9 August 2015),  to win gold in the CHISZ Schools Boys Soccer Tournament.  Peterhouse secured their victory with a wide goal scored by Munashe Mandaza.   Gateway earned bronze medals in the tournament, beating Kyle College who came 4th.

The Player of the Tournament was awarded to Kupakwashe Dhoroh of silver medalists St George’s, while the Best Goalkeeper award went to Rodney Mutuke of Peterhouse College.  The top goal scorer of the tournament T. Mupakaviri of 13th place Watershed College.

The outstanding coaching award went to Peterhouse College, while St. John’s College took the honor of being the Most Disciplined Team.  The Tournament Plate winners went to Masiyepambili of Bulawayo.

Fifteen first boys’  football teams from CHISZ schools around the country battled in the annual weekend tournament.   Selectors watching the tournament chose the CHISZ national select team and announced it today as follows:
