Zimbabwe Boys Golf to Kenya to Defend Tri-Nations Title

A strong six men team selected by the Zimbabwe Junior Golf Association are off to Kenya to defend Zimbabwe’s title at the Tri-Nations Tournament to take place at Nyali Beach Golf Club in Mombasa.  Zimbabwe’s top junior golfers Kieren Vincent of St John’s College and Justin Kersten of Falcon College, lead a team which show strong promise.  Kersten recently returned from finishing an impressive 8th place at the RD Golf Tournament in Germany.

Completing the U18 team are Tarisiro Fundira of St John’s College, Tafadzwa Nyamukondiwa of Prince Edward School, David Amm and Bekithemba Ndlovu.  Simon Murungweni is traveling as their coach.

Justin Kersten came 8th in the RB Global Jr Golf Championships.

The Tri-Nations Tournament pits Zimbabwe against Namibia and hosts Kenya. Zimbabwe won the inaugural tournament held in 2013 at the Elephant Hills Resort in Victoria Falls and defended their title in Namibia in 2014.  They have high hopes of retaining their cup this year as well.
