Smashing Cricket Promises Excitement in 2015

With one week left until schools open for the examination-filled third term, all roads lead to St George’s College this weekend for the Cabs T-20 cricket tournament.  Featuring eight Zimbabwean and four South Africa teams, the St George’s Smashing T-20 runs from Friday to Sunday (4-6 September) and promises to provide an action-packed weekend of exciting school boy cricket.

Reigning 2014 Smashing Cricket champions St Andrew’s College are returning from South Africa along with Cornwall Hill, St John’s College Johannesburg and Parktown Boys.  The Rams of St John’s College Harare are hungry for a Smashing Cricket win, after coming second to St Andrew’s in last year’s version and again making it to the final only to finish second to Peterhouse in 2013.

Alongside hosts St George’s College, seven other Zimbabwean teams will participate in Smashing Cricket this weekend: Christian Brothers College, Churchill, Falcon College, Hellenic Academy, Peterhouse College, Prince Edward School and St John’s College.
