Zimbabwe is trying to get as much experience and practice as possible for the selected U19 Cricket side before the World Cup rolls around end of January 2016 in Bangladesh. Yesterday, a major Indian newspaper, The Hindustan Times, reported that a new cricket stadium in Greater Noida in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, may hold competitions between Zimbabwe and Afghanistan U19 cricket sides in December. Though with a relatively small population of 100,000 Greater Noida is only 30 kilometers from the Indian capital, New Delhi.
Greater Noida has recently constructed a new cricket stadium, and this would be the most major event held in it so far. The proposed matches include three one day test matches as well as two T20 matches between the two U19 international select sides. Both Afghanistan and Zimbabwe are gearing up for the World Cup championships.
