Van der Westhuizen and Zinyengerere Set New Watershed Records

Paige Van Der Westhuizen of Chisipite Senior School and Tatenda Zinyengerere of Prince Edward School put in fine performances at Watershed yesterday to start this year’s schools cross-country season.

Zinyengerere, who represented Zimbabwe at last year’s COSASA games clocked 11.36.00 minutes on the 4.2 kilometre course for the U15 boys event. Van Der Westhuizen ran the same course in 13.36.56 minutes to claim victory in the U17 girls race. Both times are the fastest that SSN has ever recorded on the Watershed course, in the U15 boys race for Zinyengetere and across all girls races for Van Der Westhuizen.
