A late second-half blitz saw Eaglesvale overturn a seven point deficit to a 12-07 win over rivals Kyle College in the penultimate game of Day 2 (Monday, 1 May) of the 2017 Dairibord Schools Rugby Festival.
Earlier Hillcrest College made the Prince Edward Tigers work for the 19-11 victory in a fixture a lot expected to turn out one-sided in favour of the Tigers. Churchill proved to strong for up and coming Vainona registering a massive 47-00 win.
In the last fixture of the day on Jubilee, St George’s made light work of visitors from Botswana – Livingstone Kolobeng College. The Dragons were leading 31-00 heading in to the interval. Though the visitors remedied their tactics in the second half it was a case of a little to late as St George’s held on for a comfortable 36-19 victory.
